FAQ’s
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Gateway Aesthetic Institute accept insurance?
Due to the nature of our practice, the Gateway Aesthetic Institute & Laser Center does not bill insurance and Dr. Mark Taylor is not a provider for any insurance company. We are happy to print out a generic form which you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement; however, you will be 100% responsible for the payment in our office, on the day of your service, as well as the collection or reimbursement from your insurance company.
If you choose to have treatment at the Gateway Aesthetic Institute & Laser Center and hope to submit the bill to your insurance for reimbursement, you will need to check with your insurance company to see if pre-authorization is required. Because we are not providers for any insurance, it is important to understand that your benefit may be reduced or denied. Also, keep in mind that most procedures performed in our office are considered cosmetic and will not be covered.
Are all Laser Centers or Medical Spas alike?
Two factors come into play: the experience of the provider offering treatment and the type of medical equipment (laser) used for treatment.
Experience: All of our treatments are directed by renowned board certified dermatologists. Our expertise is so respected in the industry that many of today’s medical laser manufacturers conduct their clinical studies through our office. In contrast, many of the treatments offered by MediSpas or other Laser Centers are conducted by less experienced personnel. To limit liability, their lasers are often so toned down that their treatments are less effective.
Laser type: Many MediSpas and Laser Centers have one or two lasers they use to treat multiple skin conditions. In contrast, the Gateway Aesthetic Institute & Laser Center is the largest cosmetic dermatology and laser center in the world. When it comes time to diagnose and treat your skin, we have over 50 specialized medical lasers from which to choose. At the Gateway Aesthetic Institute & Laser Center, you can always be assured that your treatment will offer the best results possible.
