About Hair Restoration
To many, a full head of hair represents youth, attractiveness and desirability both personally and professionally.
Millions of men and women suffer from male/female pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) or thinning hair. Neograft hair transplant procedure moves individual hair follicles from the back of the head to the front and top, to permanently replace hairs that have been lost. Several thousand hair follicles can be moved in a one-day session. Transplanted hair grows to full maturity over 6 to 12 months and remains for the rest of a person’s life.
NeoGraft Hair Transplantation can also be used to transplant lost or thinning eyebrows and to fill in lost patches of hair due to trauma and other causes.
The Gateway Aesthetic Institute has many years of experience providing NeoGraft Hair Transplantation to our male and female clients. This game changing technology automates the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method to give patients more natural looking results with minimal downtime, no linear scar and no stitches. This is a much more natural hair transplant method than the slit graft techniques with a long linear scar across the back of the head that will show, especially if the hair is cut short.
Top 10 Reasons Why NeoGraft is the Solution:
1. It is the least invasive procedure for hair transplantation.
2. Patients who receive NeoGraft™ feel little to no discomfort.
3. No stitches or staples are used in the NeoGraft™ procedure.
4. No linear scar.
5. Flexibility for any hair style of your choice, short or long.
6. Shorter recovery time.
7. Less restrictions on your normal daily activities.
8. Patients can typically go back to work the next day.
9. More natural looking results.
10. Shorter procedure time, significantly faster than manual FUE.
Hair Restoation Treatments
Hair Restoration Treatments are available to help prevent more balding of native hair and to help thicken and stimulate growth of both transplanted and original hair. In addition to Neograft hair transplants, we offer the following treatments for thinning hair:
Nutrafol Hair Vitamins are once daily vitamins that have been proven effective in clinical studies.
Theradome is a red-light therapy that has been confirmed in clinical studies to stimulate hair growth. It’s a hair dome with numerous red diode lights that should be used at least 3 times a week for 20 minutes each. The Theradome is available in Apothica, our clinic store and can be shipped by calling 801-746-7444.
Rogaine treatment can be purchased at local retail stores like Costco, and if used regularly will stimulate hair growth. Rogaine must be used continually to maintain hair fullness.
Minoxidil and Finasteride are once-daily prescription medications that our doctors or physician’s assistant can prescribe. They are highly effective medications that help maintain the fullness of the native hair and reduce balding.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is used to jump start and maintain growth of both transplanted and native hairs. It is recommended to have treatment once monthly for 3 months and then one treatment every 6 – 12 months for maintenance.
Laser Hair Stimulation heats and stimulates the scalp with a long-pulse erbium laser and has shown promising results in recent years in early clinical studies. These laser treatments can be done on the same day as PRP injections or separately.

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
Unlike the old fashioned “punch grafting” technique that often produces an altered texture or unnatural straight lines (corn row) of hair appearance, NeoGraft has dramatically improved the results of hair restoration surgery. Grafting sessions are designed to replace the lost hair, refine the thinning hairline and provide a healthy and natural appearance. Results will vary depending upon your personal level of baldness.
WHAT IS THE NEOGRAFT HAIR REPLACEMENT SYSTEM?
NeoGraft is a revolutionary hair transplantation device that allows your doctor to use the most up-to-date and clinically proven method of hair transplantation called FUE (follicular unit extraction). FUE generally relies on the skill of the surgeon to be precise. With the added use of NeoGraft, your doctor can provide absolute and exact placement of hair transplant using technology that operates under pneumatic pressure, with precision automated control. What that means to you is that your hair transplant procedure can be performed in a safe and efficient manner with the utmost in accuracy and precision. Providing you with a completely natural appearance and with less pain and less downtime.
• New Transplant Technology Allows Maximum Coverage Possible
• No Surgery and No Scars
• Natural Looking Results
• Minimal Discomfort
• Fast Recovery
HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM A CANDIDATE?
Candidates for hair restoration surgery are those individuals with hair loss that have sufficient donor hair on the back of the scalp to transplant into the frontal balding areas. The best candidates are those men and women with only frontal or partial hair loss and with adequate donor hair. Your doctor will assess the amount of coverage needed to give you the appearance you desire.
HOW IS NEOGRAFT PERFORMED?
Hair transplantation is a process in which hair is taken from the back of the head and replaced in areas where hair loss has occurred. The NeoGraft device uses a special technology that is able to quickly and painlessly remove the hair follicles from the back of the head and implant them to balding areas. NeoGraft uses a controlled pneumatic pressure to slide out the graft smoothly, so there is no pulling or twisting which can risk damaging the graft. Because the NeoGraft transplant is faster than other out of date methods, the grafts can be re-implanted sooner which keeps them more robust, increasing the success of the grafting process.
HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS?
The science behind grafting is quite simple. Hair follicles are taken from the hair at the back of the head that is genetically programmed to continue to grow. The follicles that hold your transplanted hair are living tissues that grow cyclically. Like normal hair growth, transplantation is an ongoing process that requires a commitment of time. Once the hair follicle has been implanted into the balding area, the grafted hair will stay in place for about two to three weeks before shedding. After shedding, the new growth will begin in 3-4 months; this is normal and an important part of the new hair growth process. After that time period, the hair will continue to grow normally; your result will look healthy and natural.
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
Most men start to develop male pattern baldness at approximately 40-45 years of age. For women, they may reach the age of 55-60 before their balding pattern manifests. Hair loss does not stop after a transplantation, some people will need continuing maintenance and further sessions will likely be required, particularly if your balding patterns continue with age. Progressive hair loss or the desire for more density may require more transplants. An estimate of balding pattern and the number of procedures needed will be discussed during your consultation.
